Tower Street School's Health, Safety Fair Saturday
Thursday, March 12, 2009WESTERLY - Tower Street School will host its 10th Annual Health and Safety Fair, Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m..
The fair is made up of community people who are available to keep people safe and healthy.
This year there are more than 28 community members participating.
Those scheduled to participate include McQuades - The Importance of Medicine Safety, Shaws - Healthy Eating, Nancy McBride - Helmet Safety, RI Operation Lifesaver - Amtrack/Railroad Safety, Families Learning Together - Parenting Skills, Westerly/Pawcatuck YMCA - Water Safety, Domestic Violence Resource Center - Bullying, South Shore Mental Health, The Westerly Substance Abuse Task Force Answers Lie Within - Shiatsu, Reiki and Hypnotherapy, the Westerly Fire Department - Fire Safety and a variety of other community members giving free information about a number of different topics for families. The Bradford Johnnycake Center will be collecting canned goods.
